BBC’s The Sculptress

The Sculptress was a BBC psychological drama starring Pauline Quirke playing a murderess in a big fat-suit.

As publicist I fed a steady stream of stories to the press, secured broadcast appearances for Pauline and Caroline Goodall, co-ordinated PR in all filming locations and looked after journalists and photographers on set.

Despite the chilly 5am starts in prisons in deepest Hertfordshire it was a fantastic experience that I’ll never forget. Particularly making friends with an armed robber, having Pauline’s child vomit down my tie and standing in a blood soaked kitchen surrounded by dismembered corpses.
