You're guaranteed to have a whole "Ott'le" fun!

We are very proud of our collection of exhibits here at Little Ottle. People have come from all over the world to see what we have on offer. We've even had two celebrities from a well known "soap" TV programme through our doors in the 1980's. Our exhibits are all themed under the following subjects:

Dick Turpin

Although he was a criminal and was renowned for brutally torturing many people, we are still proud of our Dick Turpin collection. Come along to see the orginal Rochester Winterman pistols which probably belonged to Dick Turpin. We have an actual size model of Dick wearing authentic clothing so you can really get an idea what he would have looked like. We've recently opened a Museum Shop where you can choose from an exciting range of Dick Turpin merchandise and memorabilia.

If you have an interest in farming you'll feel right at home in Little Ottle Museum. We have a range of farming implements dating all the way from 1500 to 1900. From authentic woolforks dating back to 1680 to a seed plower made in 1850, we have them all. Thanks to modern technology we're also delighted to offer a computer interactive adventure which allows you to explore what it was like to be a farmer in days gone by.

We also offer some particularly unique artefacts including a genuine 13th century milking stool and a potato knife which was used by a cook who used to work for someone who knew Cardinal Wolsey.

Enjoy our unique collection of uniforms which were worn by real soldiers. We're proud to present the authentic battle dress worn by Lt. Graham From which was featured in the film 'Zulu' - thanks Graham.

Let us take you back to prehistoric times as you marvel at our fossil collection. We're proud to present a "History of Vertebrate Paleontology" Powerpoint slideshow by Professor Henryck von Shnitzel from Budapest University.
